Sandhill Cranes in WI

Beautiful sandhill cranes visited our campsite in Wisconsin!
We were told the baby crane wasn't ready to fly just yet, so the family was grounded, looking for bugs for a snack.

Camping with Hirsches

We had a great time camping with Jesi's family at Peninsula State Park in Door County, WI. What a fun, gorgeous state park! We had a wonderful time with everyone.
Part of the fun included playing euchre!

What a gorgeous place! Pictured Rocks Natl. Lakeshore -- amazing formations colored by mineral deposits, all on the shore of Lake Superior.

Opportunity in MT

During our travels, we have the opportunity to see stunning natural beauty.

Mt. Rushmore, SD

Mt. Rushmore, SD, was quite an impressive sight, which took 400 people 14 yrs. to complete. Fun fact: based on its history, it will only erode 1" per 10,000 years.

Where the Buffalo Roam --- MT & SD

The states of MT & SD are truly where the buffalo roam! We took the photo of the buffalo visiting a creek on the Wildlife Loop at Custer State Park in SD. Also saw big horn sheep, mule deer, and pronghorns. (Pronghorns can run 55 mph!)

Although we didn't hear it from them directly, one of our fav. finds was the advice from a buffalo. :)
